Optimising an open-plan layout within a compact condominium footprint to establish distinct work, culinary, and rest zones, while utilising a sophisticated pastel palette to maintain visual lightness.

THE BRIEF & COLLABORATION: Can You Use Dynamic Colour Palettes Without Overwhelming Compact Footprints?
The homeowners approached Vitas Design SG with a precise creative brief: they wanted a warm, expressive home that integrated soft pastel colours while maintaining a clean, clutter-free layout. They needed distinct zones for family interaction, smooth culinary workflows, and private sanctuaries that maximised utility storage without feeling heavy or oppressive.

Through close structural collaboration, Vitas Design SG re-engineered the layout. By treating the walls as continuous decorative canvases and utilising custom arched entryways, the design team linked the spaces visually. This approach expands the home's perceived volume while firmly establishing a unique identity for each zone.

1. THE OPEN LIVING PAVILION: Opening Sightlines via Sculpted Architectural Gateways
The journey begins in the main living lounge, where low-profile timber furniture accentuates the overhead clearance. Chevron-patterned oak flooring runs underfoot, directing the eye toward the open patio sliding doors.

Moving inward from the main entryway reveals a streamlined foyer equipped with a clean white shoe console and a full-height clear mirror panel that reflects light into the corridor. Right opposite this pathway sits a custom multi-functional island bar.

Topped with high-durability seamless white quartz, the island functions as a dual-workstation prep counter and breakfast bar. Fitted with a matte-black gooseneck faucet and integrated double undermount sinks, it anchors the home's traffic flow while maintaining absolute visual connectivity with the main lounge area.

3. THE CULINARY GALLEY: Streamlining Workflows with Handleless Pastels
Directly adjacent to the island counter is the main cooking zone, configured as an efficient L-shaped galley kitchen that optimises the corner footprint.
• The Design Masterstroke: Shadowless Task Light and Continuous Flush Cabinetry
The kitchen cabinets are finished in a seamless, handleless soft pink laminate on the lower tiers, paired perfectly with natural light wood grains on the upper storage. Integrated under-cabinet LED light ribbons cast an even, shadowless glow across the workspace, while keeping major appliances tucked neatly out of sight.

4. THE PRIVATE MASTER SUITE: Elevating Rest Through Monochromatic Serenity
The design language shifts toward quiet minimalism within the master bedroom. A custom built-in vanity table with a round backlit mirror sits adjacent to the plush bed, bathed in soft ambient lighting.

To eliminate visual clutter, Vitas Design SG implemented handleless floor-to-ceiling cream wardrobes with built-in display cubbies. The wardrobe design flows seamlessly into an integrated floating vanity drawer system, creating a continuous architectural line that maximises floor space.

The secondary bedrooms feature creative spatial design tailored for the children, introducing a bright, cheerful canary yellow colour-blocked band along the lower half of the walls.

Vitas Design SG constructed bespoke low-slung platform beds integrated directly with full-height sliding wardrobes. Under-platform LED skirting casts a warm, soft nightlight glow across the floor, while deep storage drawers are hidden inside the platform base, leaving plenty of room for active play and study.

The restrooms mimic the clean, sensory experiences of a high-end luxury boutique wellness retreat. The common washroom carries the children's canary yellow palette, paired with a custom terrazzo tiled accent backsplash.

The master bathroom transitions into a sophisticated, moody concrete-look finish. Featuring a floating fluted timber vanity, a circular brass-rimmed mirror, and industrial dark wood paneling, this private sanctuary elevates daily personal care into a premium wellness ritual.
