Bright colours have the ability to capture attention due to their vividness and intensity. Warm colours like yellows, reds, and oranges appear more colourful than cooler tones such as blues and greens. On the other hand, shades of brown and grey are not as vibrant unless they are very muted, almost approaching white.

It's widely acknowledged that a space's colour scheme can significantly influence its atmosphere, whether a cheerful yellow or a calming blue. While pastel and neutral colours can create an illusion of spaciousness in a small room, deeper, richer tones can also bring brightness to a space.

Yellow is a lively colour that can bring warmth to any room in your home, particularly in shared areas like the living or dining room. It's a versatile colour used on walls, upholstery, furniture, and decor. When combined with more understated colours like beige and white, yellow can introduce much-needed luminosity to a room. It's an excellent choice for designing a living room with wooden furniture.

A pop of bright orange can instantly infuse a room with energy and vibrancy, whether it's a living room, a bedroom, or a study area. This bold colour adds a sense of liveliness, making it an ideal option for spaces where a dull atmosphere is unwelcome, such as a study room or common areas that require an inviting ambience. We suggest using this colour in a kids' bedroom, where a mix of fun and focus is essential. If an all-orange room seems overwhelming, consider incorporating an orange statement wall while keeping the remaining walls in a neutral shade, or opt for a lighter shade of orange.
