It can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to start when it comes to cultivating good feng shui in your home.

Feng shui is an ancient 3,000-years old Chinese philosophy that seeks to find balance and harmony between elements. The goal of feng shui is to invite positive chi into your home so that your life feels both energised and balanced, and it's a relatively simple way to improve the vibes of your space.
Home is where the heart is, so it is essential to create balance in it to improve your family's wellbeing.
Thankfully, it doesn't need to be challenging. We've compiled a few ideas that will kickstart your journey to a happier and healthier home.
FENG SHUI FOR GOOD VIBES
Feng shui is less about having a perfectly-styled home, and more about creating a happy and healthy environment. Whether you're new to feng shui or an expert, here are a few essential steps to cultivate good feng shui in every room of your home.
Keep The House Clear Of Clutter
Clutter is often in the same sentence as feng shui, but we'd say that feng shui is less about decluttering and more about creating space. Let go of what's no longer necessary. When you let something go, you create space to invite new opportunity. And don't beat yourself up if this space gets filled up. Always be open to a fresh start. Find another or the same corner to clear and create space again.
Brighten Up Your Entry
Your house entrance represents how energy enters your home and your life. We say the front door is the "mouth of qi." Naturally, the main entrance is the first place to start when you want to create good feng shui in your home. Start with decluttering. As time passes, objects tend to accumulate at the front door. Next, sweep and clean up the area. Wipe down the door and shake out dirt from the doormat. Finally, make sure this space is well lit and bright.
Maximise Natural Light Windows symbolise the eyes of the adults in the home. To create good feng shui in your home, clean your windows regularly as sparkling clean windows tend to let more sunlight shine through. Sunlight naturally energises and vibrantly renders all the colours and objects we see. When we allow more natural light to shine in, our home will look more expansive, vibrant, and energetic. Clean windows metaphorically wake us up to see the world around us with more clarity, colour and precision. Use non-toxic cleaners whenever possible. One of our favourites is a simple solution of white vinegar, water, and a few drops of essential oil.

It's also comforting to know that the money plant isn't toxic to cats or dogs.
Bamboo (Bambuseae)

The bamboo plant is often associated with pet-friendly and feng shui friendly houseplants. Do note the number of bamboo stalks planted as each numeric represents different aspects: 2 for love and marriage (double happiness), 3 for happiness, wealth and longevity, 5 for 5 elements for a balanced life, 6 for increasing opportunities for wealth, 7 for bestowing health, 8 for the blessing of wealth and abundance, 9 for good fortune and 10 for completeness and perfection in life.
